[Today was a very good day]

[2003-07-22, 8:12 p.m.]

There are 3 hours and 48 minutes left in this day but I'm gonna go ahead and call it. Today rocked.

One, I found out that I am not required by my 11 y.o. charge Thursday or Friday. This means that I will spend Thursday here, at beautiful Purdue University, reading and writing and typing. Then I will spend Friday at the gay coffee shop editing.

Back to my day. We played video games all day again- really that is all we've done for the last two weeks. I am gonna go ahead and say it: I fucking love my life. I'm getting paid to play Mario Party.

Then she got bored and was rattling off all these things she wanted to do and I was saying no, no, no, and finally she gave up and was looking out the window and said, "Is your car navy blue?" I laughed and said, "No, it's black, it just has two years of dirt covering it." "LET'S WASH YOUR CAR!!!" She replied and then spent the next two hours giving my car a sponge bath. It's shiny and black again now.

I love kids.

I donated $2- that is two dollars- to the Chicago Boys and Girls club and got a free rental every day for the rest of the summer at Blockbuster. So I've been renting tons of movies- I've gone through all the war movies, I watched Gandhi, and right now I have JFK, Nixon, Amistad, and Out of Africa.

And this really overly tall (6'5) grad student with an English accent thinks I am the shit.

Oh and I walked in front of a full length mirror in a bra and jeans this morning and thought, "Wow. You look hot in a bra and jeans."

And this weekend I am going to St. Louis to see my bestest friend and her new house. I think it is crazy that anyone my age owns a house.

Yes, today was a very good day.
